A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get piins & needles in my head alot & my head is very painful to wash, brush or touch in any sort of way it goes on for days and weeks the pain is at top &front sometimes down sides.its not a headache or migraine.no sensitivity to lights or anything like that I'm on Epilim Chrono and tegratol retard have been for over 4 years now .Don't feel like anyone believes my pain and that Drs don't seem to care

Hi @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member
Although I don't recognise myself with the issues you have, I too take Epilim Chrono and have done for nearly 15 years. What I did recognise in what you said was about Drs not seeming to care. I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall sometimes about my Epilepsy, do they not understand? Do they think I'm making it up? I don't know, but it's really frustrating!
Even more frustrating is that I see a Neurologist every 6 months to update on my "progress" and it's the same again. I had a particular bad patch a few years ago and I felt like that something needed to change and all he did was write things in his journal and said I'll see you in 6 months. I just don't understand...
Hope you're well :)

Yep I relate to this as same for me. See necrologist every 6 months who did put my meds up.
I'm on eplim sodium valproate 500mg tablets twice a day and must say at times I get pins and needles in my hands and my arms hurt too at times.
It could be due to side effects of the meds

If I'm having problems, I tell my Neurologist to change my meds and He does. It's up to you... It's your body!
