and one of my former neurologists told me i could gain up to 250 lbs. to my current weight on that drug...and his reaction was..."do you want to be healthy or do you want to be thin ??? i responded i did not know it was an either or the thought of being that heavy i did not think was particularly healthy...so i went through a life-long process of trying to get the proper meds combo... and always struggling with weight now i am 55 on keppra which has been great for me seizure-free 6 yrs. and now in the process of decreasing my primidone which is a narcotic i was on 250mgs./day now i am on 66 mgs every other day my next appt. he will reduce furthur until no more primidone then i will be so happy!!! Last year i felt heavy so i have been exercising more changing my diet and have lost about 50 lbs. so far...but more than the weight is more energy better health my back does not hurt as much i can skip rope i am not as tired life on the whole is good!!!
