Gale, they are switching medications. They all have side effects. I have been taking lamictal for years. I am lightheaded and tired. I put up with it. It effects everyday living. I have to live a more sedative life style.
If I don't, You will be more stressed about what to do! You know your body and what you can handle. Speak up, call. Decrease meds. But going through to many drugs you really don't no what drug is helping or giving you side effects.
Do you have medical insurance, go see an epilogist at a good hospital. I go to the university of PA.
I've been on all seizure meds. None of them ever controled my seizures completely. That's why I had surgery ask questions. Write them down and take family or friend to appointments! It's a must. I learned. It's you body! Speak up. Hope this helps you. I am here to vent anytime😊

I would ask a lot of questions also. If you are not satisified with the answer then find a different Dr. that will listen to you. We have gone through three Neurologists before we found a good fit for my son. Best of luck on your journey.
