I've learned to take it REALLY early in the morning so I can go back to sleep and have enough before I get up for the day.

I wason phenobarbital when I was baby till I was in my late 20's ,now I take Lamitcal & no trouble.

Ks1 what we're you placed on after the phenobarbital I do know of the liver issue and get it checked

Myale, I was on phenobarbital for about 23 years. I changed Neurologist and the new one took me off of it right away because he said that it causes serious damage to the liver. I would get a second opinion about its continued use.

im on lamenlactol myself as a secondary med... at times i do get sleepy i only have been on it a few years with the doseage adjusted... my primary med is phenobarbatol (taken nearly 30 years now)
