Swelling Of Hands And Feet On Oxcarbazepine

Swelling Of Hands And Feet On Oxcarbazepine

Has anyone experienced swelling in their hands and feet when on oxcarbazepine? I've started to self medicate with anti histamines and it's getting better. I'm seeing my epilepsy nurse tomo so hoping for some answers

I take keppra and oxcarbazepine . I've been through so many meds. These works the best for me. However not all bodies react the same. I'm praying for you

Yes I'm on keppra as my number one treatment but they're adding in lacosomide. Oxcarbazepine and keppra together actually made my seizures worse! I'm worse if I'm sleep deprived but also when I'm due my period. Hormones kick in I guess especially as oestrogen is seizure provoking. When I stared keppra i loved it because I was seizure free for the first time ever. My husband wanted me to stop taking it as it affected mood so badly but I refused and I still don't regret that decision. I make sure the pharmacy always supply me with the same brand at every visit as I've discovered to my cost they aren't all the same.

Well I am on keppra the generic and they said that the generic works better than the name brand for some reason and lol I have lost some weight. Its been rough that is all I can say. Seizure meds are the worst and I hate being on them but they stop me from having seizures. I hate it but it helps me not to have them. I have been feeling off. I am guessing between being stress and being sleep deprived it has seemed like the seizures has kicked them up.

My Dr is now going to change my drugs again. I'm coming off oxcarbazepine and starting locasamide soon. I was just getting way too many side effects I have had to start and self medicate with anti histamines. Fingers crossed this one works.
